Devastating Adrenal Insufficiency:
This disorder is adrenal insufficiency, adrenal failure, or adrenal exhaustion, and it appears that most auto-immune disorders can be traced to adrenal insufficiency and appear at adrenal failure (3rd stage exhaustion). In other words, when the adrenals fail, the body appears to attack itself in the form of an auto-immune disorder.
Auto-immune disorders brought on by adrenal failure afflict millions of people and they don't have to.
Also, women are clearly far more affected than men, but no man is exempt.
Western medicine is up in arms about it too. Ironically, traditional western medicine will usually say something like this: "No one knows the exact cause or causes of autoimmune diseases. However, research scientists believe that genetics and the environment both play a role in a person developing the condition."
I'm pretty surprised that a "mystery" is the accepted norm of understanding for the brightest medical minds. After working with thousands of people with auto-immune disorders over twenty years, I believe I understand why most auto-immune disorders occur and it seems pretty clear to me how to address the problem.
Before we address the problem, let's examine how auto-immune disorders can affect the body. We know they occur when the immune cells in your body mistake your body's cells as invaders and attack them. In many people, besides symptoms of overwhelming fatigue and inability to handle stress, the more obvious symptoms can be fatigue, muscle aches, hypersensitivity, inflammation, and low fever. Some of the body systems that these diseases affect include blood and blood vessels, digestive tract, eyes, glands, nerves, muscles, kidneys, lungs, joints, brain and skin.
More often than not, the auto-immune disorder will finally appear (as if overnight) as a result of a traumatic "final event", such as death, divorce, accident, job loss, or some other traumatic event. Long before the symptoms of an auto-immune disorder appear, there are several indicators of who may be more prone (based upon my experience).
Disagree? Women make small amounts of testosterone via their adrenals and for women, it is very precious hormone. Men make testosterone via their adrenals and gonads. Now put a young man and a young woman in a bar, serve them lots of liquor and cigarettes for twenty years; or put a man and a woman in daily, physically exerting, stressful battle for a decade or two.
Who do you think will look worse off?
This is because men have much more of the precious long term, stress protecting elixir, testosterone.
How Does Adrenal Exhaustion Occur?
OK, now let's do some simple inductive reasoning to figure the cause of auto-immune disorders. Let's start with some assumptions. Auto-immune disorders are usually brought on by cumulative, long term stress, whether perceived or imagined. And auto-immune disorders happen to women more than men at astronomical ratios.
Now let's ask another question; if it s caused by stress, what is the body's stress protector? What is the body's fight or flight center? The answer is the adrenal glands.
Let's ask the next question; if auto-immune disorders are much more pervasive in women than men, what is the key physiological difference between a man and a woman? The answer is testosterone. Where do women make testosterone? The answer is the adrenal glands.
When the adrenal glands fail, a whole cascade of failing occurs; from the thyroid all the way to the hypothalamus/pituitary. Consequently most people with auto-immune disorders have thyroid problems, low testosterone, and super low growth hormone levels. In 1995 a landmark study on fibromyalgia sufferers proved just that.
For best results, we strongly recommend these powerfully synergisticSOMASTATIN and AEON offers:
How is Adrenal Exhaustion Prevented?
OK, how do we prevent auto-immune disorders? Protect the adrenals! How do we protect the adrenals? Stress reduction, Spirituality, eliminate stimulants, eat well, take good vitamins, minerals, amino acids, co-factors, etc, and start using AEON and SOMASTATIN together with Amino Rx.
Why AEON and Somastatin? Because stressed out adrenals cause a reduction in serum growth hormone. Amongst others, one of Somastatin's actions are to help give the adrenals powerful support by helping normalize the adrenals, stabilize cortisol production and stimulate the adrenals production of testosterone (yes ladies, you must have testosterone for bones, sex drive, skin, etc).
When I think of this, I picture an ad on TV that say something like, "Is your adrenal gland tired and worn out? Come on down for an outpatient procedure, where we install a backup adrenal gland so yours eventually heals."
This is why we want you to take Amino Rx with the AEON and Somastatin, because amino acids taken without food will convert to DHEA, cortisol, testosterone, estradiol, or whatever the body demands as the result of the increased protein synthesis that AEON and Somastatin help the body with. The symptoms of adrenal exhaustion or fatigue can appear in a large number of maladies. Today, more doctors are finally accepting how pandemic adrenal fatigue (hypoadrenia) actually is in modern society. Sadly, in traditional western medicine, the majority of doctors still deny there's is trouble with the adrenals unless you exhibit symptomatology for Cushing's disease (too much adrenal function) or Addison's disease (little or no adrenal function).
Even though these two diseases affect a tiny fraction of the population, many experts believe that the majority of modern society is affected with some degree of adrenal insufficiency, and most are women.
Aside from the usual the signs of overwhelming fatigue and the inability to handle stress, the classic symptoms below exhibit more of the potential suffering that can occur from various stages of adrenal fatigue. Since many can be easily misdiagnosed, autoimmune disorders are subsequently often overlooked. I believe if practitioners were taught to see these symptoms and immediately consider adrenal exhaustion first instead of last, we would save untold money and suffering.
Again, stress reduction, Spirituality, eliminate stimulants, eat well, take good vitamins, minerals, amino acids, co-factors, etc, and use AEON and SOMASTATIN together with Amino Rx to help your adrenals function well.
Detailed Symptoms of Adrenal Exhaustion:
• AUTO-IMMUNE DISORDERS: Most auto-immune disorders are precipitated by a significant "stressor". It can be a death, divorce, accident, financial loss, anything. The stressor was the "straw that broke the camel's back" of your already exhausted and failing adrenal gland. I encourage you to look at your chronology long before the auto-immune disorder kicked in. Remember these auto-immune disorders can actually be the SYMPTOM of final stage adrenal exhaustion.
Known auto-immune disorders are, but not limited to, alopecia areata, anklosing spondylitis, antiphospholipid syndrome, autoimmune addison's disease, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, autoimmune hepatitis, autoimmune inner ear disease, autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (alps), autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura (atp), behcet's disease, cardiomyopathy, celiac sprue-dermatitis, chronic fatigue syndrome immune deficiency syndrome (cfids), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, cicatricial pemphigoid, cold agglutinin disease, crest syndrome, crohn's disease, dego's disease, dermatomyositis, discoid lupus, essential mixed cryoglobulinemia, fibromyalgia – fibromyositis, grave's disease, guillain-barre, hashimoto's thyroiditis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura (itp), iga nephropathy, insulin dependent diabetes (type i), lupus, meniere's disease, mixed connective tissue disease, multiple sclerosism, myasthenia gravis, pemphigus vulgaris, pernicious anemia, polyarteritis, nodosa, polychondritis, polyglancular syndromes, polymyalgia rheumatica, polymyositis and dermatomyositis, primary biliary cirrhosis, psoriasis, raynaud's phenomenon, reiter's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, scleroderma, sjogren's syndrome, stiff-man syndrome, takayasu arteritis, temporal arteritis/giant cell arteritis, ulcerative colitis, uveitis, vasculitis, vitiligo, wegener's granulomatosis. In many cases, when the adrenals heal, the auto-immune disorder does too.
•ALLERGIES: Allergies are an inflammatory response. As adrenal function decreases, allergies worsen. We become allergic to things that did not bother us a decade earlier. When the adrenals heal, allergies are markedly reduced.
•SLEEP DISTURBANCES: The circadian cortisol cycle follows a curve from highest levels around early to mid morning and declines throughout the day until their lowest levels just before midnight. This becomes disrupted with advancing adrenal fatigue. In stage one adrenal fatigue, cortisol levels can be elevated at night causing fitful sleeping. Since elevated evening cortisol interrupt REM sleep, the adrenals suffer even more, exacerbating the problem. In second and third stage adrenal fatigue, you may produce adrenaline in the evening, leading to acute insomnia, and causing even more adrenal stress. When the adrenals heal, sleep returns.
•FREQUENT and RECURRING INFECTIONS: Severe and/or recurring infection often indicate adrenal problems, especially bronchial and lung infections. When the adrenals heal, infections are markedly reduced.
•MUSCLE WEAKNESS and LOWER BACK PAIN: Anyone with knee problems, aching feet, weak ankles, lower back pain, or aching calves should be examined for adrenal fatigue. When the adrenals heal; pain in these areas are markedly reduced.
•ASTHMA, BRONCHITIS, and CHRONIC COUGH: Anyone with lung issues, such as asthma and bronchitis should be checked for poor adrenal function. Asthma is often exhibited in response to an immune trigger within the body. It is further exacerbated by a panic attack, putting more stress on the adrenals. When the adrenals heal, asthma is markedly reduced.
•SALT CRAVING: The adrenals produce many hormones such as aldosterone, and mineralo-corticoids. Aldosterone helps regulate fluid and electrolytes (sodium, chloride, potassium and magnesium) throughout every cell. Aldosterone decreases as adrenal fatigue increases. This will cause sodium, chloride, potassium and magnesium to be excessively excreted (salt-wasting), causing an electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, abnormal thirst, and frequent urination. Individuals with adrenal fatigue should add a bit of sea salt to their water (avg 1/4 teaspoon). Avoid high potassium, low sodium drinks such as soda and Gatorade. When the adrenals heal, cravings decrease, and well being returns.
•INFLAMMATION and WATER RETENTION: Cortisol along with other glucocorticoids made by the adrenals are the body's own natural anti-inflammatory hormones. Anyone who has used any form of long term corticosteroids, whether injected or using them orally can "cook" their adrenals. This causes insufficient levels of the body's own natural anti-inflammatory hormones. Before consuming any prescription corticosteroids, adrenal insufficiency should always be checked first. Also the adrenals assist with balancing our electrolytes and fluids. Consequently, fluid may pour into the tissues and cause swelling (edema). Most unfamiliar doctors will often prescribe a diuretic, further compounding the imbalance and fluid retention problem, making the problem worse. If you have prolonged edema, have your adrenals checked before you take a diuretic. When the adrenals heal, joint pain, inflammation and water retention are avoided or reduced in the first place.
•BEHAVIOR AND MEMORY PROBLEMS: Cortisol helps regulate electrical activity of neurons, influencing behavior, mood and memory. Symptoms with adrenal fatigue involve decreased tolerance (anger or frustration), clarity of thought and poor memory. When the adrenals heal, balance and well being return.
•HYPERPIGMENTATION: is frequently observed in Addison's disease, ergo hyperpigmentation is occasionally observed in earlier stages of adrenal exhaustion. This increased pigmentation of your skin may appear as "bronzing" somewhere on our bodies or as unusual brown patches.
•HYPOGLYCEMIA: As adrenal fatigue worsens, blood sugar levels will often fall causing hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia causes cravings of sugar or anything that will raise glucose levels, such as sweet drinks, candy, chips, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. Adrenal fatigue can result in chronic OTC (over the counter) self medication, alcohol, marijuana, and hard drug abuse due to recurrent hypoglycemia. However, the yo yo, rapid increase in blood sugar that was supplied only worsens the adrenal fatigue over time. When the adrenals heal, cravings in these areas are reduced.
Get Your Adrenals Tested, It's a Simple Process:
The adrenals are an intrinsic and complex component of the miraculous endocrine system. The adrenal glands produce mineralo-corticoids (aldosterone), glucocorticoids, epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, testosterone, estradiol, and other sex hormones. If you're experiencing any of the symptoms described above, it is prudent that you get tested, treated, and in the meantime give your adrenals a break immediately by ordering AEON, Somastatin and Amino Rx today.
A saliva cortisol panel is reliable (Functional Adrenal Stress Profile) and may be ordered from people we deeply trust at BioHealth Diagnostics in San Diego. BioHealth Diagnostics can also find you a competent practitioner in your area that understands adrenal disorders.
Saliva testing is easily the most accurate test since it shows the rhythm of cortisol production also, since it shows just how much cortisol exists the body can in fact use. Blood tests only show bound cortisol, many people test "normal" on blood cortisol yet low on saliva; always saliva test the adrenals.
